Eyelid correction

An upper eyelid correction (blepharoplasty) is a minor procedure intended to improve the appearance of the eyes. Due to excess skin and sagging of the skin of the eyelids, the eyes can look tired or sleepy.

Reasons for choosing an upper eyelid correction can be medical (e.g. heavy or tired eye complaints, headache, irritation of the eyes) or cosmetic. The treatment is performed under local anesthesia. The procedure consists of removing excess skin, possibly excess fatty tissue from the upper eyelids. Recovery takes about a week and the final result can be seen after about six weeks. The eyes will look more rested, fresher and younger while retaining their natural appearance.
