Fillers

(Dermal) Fillers are injectables that have a volumizing effect. They are used to restore volume loss, improve contours (of the face and body) and reduce or soften wrinkles. Most fillers are based on hyaluronic acid. Other fillers such as calcium hydroxylapatite or polylactic acid filler have an additional biostimulatory effect in which the collagen production of the skin is stimulated. Modern fillers are biodegradable and have a temporary effect. Depending on the type of filler and the treatment location, fillers last approximately between six and twenty-four months.
